Mistakes that can be made in the beginning of freelancing
Those who are new to freelancing have three questions in their mind at the beginning –
How to start?
Where can work be found?
What should I start working on?
After starting work, new freelancers make mistakes without understanding certain things properly. So it is important for them to take care of some things to get success as a freelancer.
* Time interval. Because, most of the freelancers in Bangladesh are working in US and European time. If they get a job in Australia, working in Australian time can have a negative impact on them.
* Beginners, despite having the skills, most of the time do not understand how much respect a job should be. So the newbies face a bidding challenge.
* Applying for a job on outsourcing job website (Marketplace) as a freelancer requires writing a good cover letter. Many of the newbies don't know the rules of writing a cover letter. As a result it does not become attractive.
* Many of the newbies do not have enough communication and language skills to move forward with courage. We know English is not our mother tongue. So if you are not proficient in English, you have to study backwards.
* There can be a shortage of jobs in the marketplace at any time, so one should be careful how to be proficient in one subject as well as another.
* Many of the freshers neglect their responsibilities after earning some money in the beginning. Work is also hot. They pull them from behind.
Internet speed is still slow in Bangladesh other than Dhaka or the divisional cities. This slow internet causes work disruptions. Because of this, young people are more victims.
